EMPOWERED is a portrait series that highlights 14 women from different backgrounds, each captured during a meaningful and personal milestone. Whether graduating, competing, modeling or simply choosing to celebrate themselves, every story is a reflection of strength and self-assurance.

As a first-generation college graduate myself, I am aware of the societal pressure many women face and this series was created to challenge that. I wanted each woman to feel seen, supported and celebrated for exactly who she is.

Between 2021 and 2024, I photographed each woman with intention. Through this process, I refined my style, grew as an artist and deepened my connection to the work I create. EMPOWERED is not just a collection of portraits - it is a tribute to resilience, identity and the power of writing our own stories.
